Michael Engelhardt is a producer/songwriter/composer on a mission to create participatory music that promotes personal wellness and social harmony. His impactful, groove-driven music has been performed on the Carnegie Hall stage, National TV and Radio programs, National and Regional Music Conferences, Jazz Educators Network Conferences, Global Leadership Summit Conferences, and numerous All-State Music Education Festivals. He has also had the great privilege of working with a number of Grammy Award-Winning artists and producers in the pop music genre.
Not a licensed therapist, Michael has completed extensive online coursework in Positive Psychology under Barbara Frederickson, Ph.D., at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Martin P. Seligman, Ph.D., at the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, he has become an avid student of several therapeutic modalities, including Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gestalt Therapy, Refuge Recovery (Buddhist Pathway to Addiction Recovery), and Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT).
A native of Woodstock, Illinois, Michael holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Millikin University and a Master of Music degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He is currently based in St. Louis, where he lives with his wife and two children.
